Prayer time calculation

Use the method your local mosque uses — that is what keeps your times matching theirs.

Above roughly 48° latitude the sun may never reach the twilight angle, so Fajr and Isha have to be estimated. All four rules are used by real communities — follow the one your mosque follows.

Fine adjustments

If your mosque's timetable differs by a couple of minutes, nudge each prayer here until they match exactly.

Praying exactly at zawal is disliked, so a small margin is customary. Default is 1 minute.

Shift the Islamic date to match your local moon sighting.

Athan & notifications

Four alert tones ship with NamazHub. It doesn't include a recorded adhan, because a muezzin's recitation can't be licensed for free redistribution. If your community has a recording it may use, ask your administrator to add it.

Which prayers

Minutes before each prayer.

Add NamazHub to your home screen for alerts that fire when the app is closed. A browser tab can only run its timers while it is open. On iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen, then open it from there and allow notifications.
Display

Used for the distance to the Kaaba and for mosque distances.
